Weinert Fares Well In Grandview 358-Mod Debut, Places 13th

BECHTELSVILLE, PA - Michael Weinert put together a respectable showing in Saturday night's NASCAR Whelen All-American Series 358-Modified opener at Grandview Speedway.

Running in the track's 358-Mod division for the first time thanks to a NASCAR age limit reduction over the off-season, Weinert qualified through his heat race (finishing fifth) and started 18th in the feature.

Despite the car's powerplant cutting out, Weinert ran wheel-to-wheel with many of the Grandview veterans and recorded a 13th-place result.

Forty-nine cars took part in the opening program of the season at Grandview.

Keep posted to the Michael Weinert website for up to date race plans.
